My local real estate brokerage Mathieu Newton Sotheby's International Realty shared an "agent spotlight" about little-old-me. What a fun opportunity to share what I love about living and working as a Southborough real estate agent around Southborough, MA!
What is your favorite local spot?
Arturo's Ristorante in Westborough, Stone's Public House in Ashland, and Bullfinchs Restaurant in Sudbury are my all-time favorite local restaurants for date nights with my husband or meeting girlfriends for dinner and drinks. I also love searching for antique "treasures" at The Backroom Antiques in Marlborough and Classic Consignments in Sudbury. Metrowest Yoga in Westborough is where I turn for heated yoga which delivers a great workout with the added benefit of meditation, and I leave the studio feeling like a new person!
What do you love to do outside of being a Realtor?
I love taking my twin daughters to the Museum of Fine Arts to catch a special exhibition. We recently attended "Fashioned by Sargent" which was marvelous. The curators at the MFA did an amazing job assembling Sargent's works with corresponding costumes from all over the world. I can't imagine the work that must have gone into that!
With Boston just 30 minutes from our home in Southborough, MA, we often just head into the city to explore its different neighborhoods. My husband works in Boston's Seaport District so we’ll pop in and meet him for dinner (The Nautilus, seen here, is family favorite) or take in a Celtics or Bruins game.
Nothing beats New England in the summertime, and we love spending time at the beach and on the bike trails of Cape Cod.
What is your favorite thing about being a realtor?
Being a realtor has allowed me to assist hundreds of clients make their real estate dreams a reality. During the process, I really get to know “my people,” and become a part of their lives for this short (joyful, exciting, sometimes stressful, very personal) period. I have been fortunate enough to be able to intertwine my work-life with my personal life, and clients become friends. Nothing beats the feeling of going to a holiday party in the house you sold to the hosts! This has always felt like such a blessing to me. I also love creating a unique marketing strategy for all of my listings. It allows me to get creative which is important to me. Having a creative outlet tied to my work gives me energy!
